The easy-to-install outdoor sensor is wirelessly connected to the console and the console enables a wide range of weather information to be accessed.
The 5-in-1 solar powered outdoor sensor transmits current information of outdoor temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction ,rain volum to the indoor display console . There are also the min/max recordings, wind chill and dew point alarm (high & low), a weather forecast based on air pressure, calendar and a display of the current moon phase. All this is visible at a glance on the bright color display (base station).
Super Easy Setup 1. Install batterires. 2. Press the reset button, it will flash red in about 3s, then flash every 16s, means it is in work condition. 3.Find a open spot , fix the outdoor sensors on the pole with a diameter of (Φ1.57 x 10.6 inchs). 4. Avoid radiant heat transfer from buildings and structures.In general, install the sensor array at least 5ft (1.5m) from any building, structure, ground, or roof top.
Rainfall Tracking Professional weather stations feature enhanced tracking of historical rainfall data. Rain accumulation data is recorded for today, over all-time, by month,by year. Check and clean the rain collector regularly, make sure there is no leaves , feathers ... , stuck in it.

Tips for use Before installing your weather station in the permanent location, we recommend operating the weather station for one week in a temporary location with easy access. Check the outdoor sensors, when it works normally, the LED light blinks every 16 seconds, if there is no blinking, please try to replace new batteries, and press the reset button. if there is still no blinking, please contact your supplier to change the outdoor sensor set.
Reset the indoor display console
After the indoor display console and the outdoor sensors get disconnected, the display console will keep receiving the signal of the outdoor sensors for 3 minutes, if there is no signal, it will stop receiving. Even you get the outdoor sensors reset and send signal again, it can’t get connected. In this case, remove and reinstall the batteries of the display console or long press button “CH” for 3 seconds, till the signal icon blinks.
Why the rain volume is not correct? 2, Check if there are leaves, stones or other stuff stuck in the rain collector, make sure the rain collector is clean. 3, When you first install the outdoor sensors, you may have swing the rain collector a little bit, there will be rain data even it didn’t rain. Please clear the rain data, and observe it for few more days. Customer Questions & Answers Question: How do you program the device, with an cell phone only, or do you use a keyboard? Answer: Cell phone or desktop programming for this device is very limited. It's only used to set your WIFI connection and accounts for uploading your data to the Cloud sites.
Question: Can this be used in apt balcony. Answer: Obviously any brand weather station sensor should be mounted out in the open at least 6ft off the ground. Example Balcony facing East would have winds from the West Blocked by the building!
Question: How do you calibrate indoor temp.? Answer: Please turn to page 34 of the operating manual or subscribe to our video.
Question: How do you set date and time Answer: If you connect the unit via Wi-Fi time and date can be set via internet.
Question: I need to be able to read the sensor values directly from the weather station using a program. is the api published to directly access the data? Answer: Not this devic
Question: Can you see the rime displayed in the dark? Answer: You can see it dark or light, plus display light adjustment.
Question: Does the outdoor sensor unit require rechargable batteries? Answer: No, it doesn't require it. I would recommend though using lithion-ion batteries. They won't leak or burst like a NiMH or similar battery. And the lithiom ion batteries usually last quite a long time.
Question: If a portion of the Osprey goes bad, can it be replaced, or do I have to buy the whole thing? For example, the rain gauge goes out... Answer: It depends on the part but if the rain gauge fails, the entire sensor array needs replacing. The sensor array is relatively less expensive.
Question: Does this weather station sample the peak wind speed every second, and then transmit the data every 16 seconds? Answer: the wind speed is averaged over 16 seconds and the wind gust is sampled every second.
Question: Best mount for this unit? Answer: Just be sure that it can 'see' wind coming from all directions and that it doesn't read air temperatures from hot surfaces (concrete, roofs, etc.) If you can mount it to a free-standing mast that would be ideal.
Question: Does the display show instantaneous (amount as if falls) rainfall? Answer: Yes, it does. Rain Rate is defined as the rainfall in the last 10 minutes, multiplied by 6 (10 minutes x 6 = 1 hour). This is also referred to as instantaneous rain per hour |
